Circulation Services and Guidelines
Circulating Books -
- Six books may be borrowed at one time.
- Books may be borrowed for three weeks.
- Books may be renewed for an additional three weeks by calling 610-359-5326 unless there is a hold on the item.
- A fine of 25 cents per day is accrued for each overdue book.
- Books deemed "lost" are subject to a $20 processing fee AND a fee for the actual book price (or $40 if there is no current book price).
- A Valid DCCC ID card is all that is needed to check out circulating books.
Reference Books - All Reference books are available for use in the library only.
McNaughton Collection- This collection contains contemporary popular fiction and non-fiction books. Because these titles are leased, overdue fines are charged to all patrons, including faculty and staff.
Textbooks - The library holds many current textbooks on reserve for use within the library only. Not all textbooks are available in the library, so please check the online catalog for availability. In order to use a textbook, you must present a valid DCCC ID.
Reserve Material - Instructors may place items on the reserve shelf at the circulation desk. You must present a valid DCCC ID to use the material and items may not be checked out of the library.
Periodicals - The library subscribes to over 350 different magazines, journals, and newspapers. Some are held in storage dating back 1-3 years; others are retained on microfilm or can be accessed using the electronic databases. A list of all periodicals and their storage and microfilm status is available in the periodical section of the library, and in the online catalog. Periodicals can be checked out for a period of seven days with a one day renewal, except for the current issue. Newspapers do not circulate.
Videos and DVDs - Videos and DVDs may be borrowed for 3 days only. The fine for late videos is $5.00 per day.
